Truth is that billions of people are unprepared for what happens next because AI images and voice are now perfectly realistic.
Videos will be next and then live streaming.
So it's important that everybody does three things immediately.
Number one, you need a verification protocol with your friends and especially family.
All right, so somebody's asking for money or sensitive information, this must be verified past voice confirmation.
You need to develop some sort of pass phrase or gesture only known to the both of you.
Number two, educate your family today on the capabilities of these models.
Point them to this channel if you want.
The reason I talk endlessly about this stuff is because the more people that understand what's happening, the less impact AI has when used maliciously.
Number three, I hate that this has to be said, but don't blindly believe anything anymore.
Even the most trained eyes can fall for this stuff online at first glance.
So before we act into something, learn how to independently verify things.
I mean, critical thinking is going to be more important than ever in the next era of the internet.
Look, AI can be a wonderful tool as I'll show you.
But of course, there is going to be misuse and nefarious intent.
So, help me spread the word before one of your friends or family members is scammed because this is going to get increasingly sophisticated.

1. Create some sort of gesture, or video passphrase only known to you and your family, when someone is asking for money or sensitive information.
A scammer can easily send your grandmother a realistic photo of you, even holding up a sign that says whatever they want.
pair this with a voice call that matches your voice and sounds perfectly realistic, it might not be so hard to convince her to wire money.
2. Educate everybody important to you on the capabilities of these models..
The more people understand what’s happening, the less impact AI has when used with nefarious intent.

3. Unfortunately, we are in the post reality era. Do not blindly believe anything you see anymore.
