Let me show you the craziest part about the Vision Pro.

I am now convinced that we've entered a transition into a screenless world.

So this is my spatial computing setup, and I can get my work done in a two-monitor setup.

I can get in close to the details, I'm facetiming with my beautiful wife, I have my Instagram feed to the side, I got a YouTube video playing on top, shout out to Casey, Twitter, news, I can customize this however I want.

That's not the crazy part.

The crazy part is that because of spatial awareness, and Carly, you're coming with me, I can actually leave apps running wherever I want in the environment.

So I walk to our refrigerator, we have a grocery list there.

We'll be traveling soon, so I leave a packing list in the kitchen.

I can have sports running or maybe I want to watch a movie or show, I need to finish Killers of the Flower Moon.

See, customization is limitless here and your surroundings become an infinite canvas.

So, let me grab Carly.

Let me go pay her a visit, because when you Facetime somebody from the Vision Pro, this is what you look like.

Definitely dystopian.

Now, as I said before, the Vision Pro, this is the most incredible consumer tech product that I've ever tried, without a doubt.

But, unless you're a developer, or if 3,500 bucks is just play money to you, I can't recommend you buy it.

Honestly, I think the Quest 3 is like 82% of the way here at 1/7th of the price.

Maybe best to wait for a version two, three, four.

But let me know what you think below.

Catch you in the next one.

Peace.

Are we entering into a decades-long transition into a world of screen-less computing? I can finally see it. The Vision Pro is the device that dramatically accelerates a move into that direction.

The confluence of spatial computing, AI, improved hardware and battery technology could result in a highly ergonomic device that will replace our screens.

The Vision and Quest platforms will continue to improve their form factors and ergonomics.

After 72 hours with the Vision Pro, I will reiterate that it is the most incredible consumer tech device I’ve ever tried. But aside from some very specific cases, I can’t recommend it as a buy. My advice would be to wait for a version 2 or 3. The Meta Quest 3 can do 85% of what the Vision Pro can do at 1/7th the price with a much more mature app and games ecosystem.

I also want to mention that the theater experience in the Vision Pro is remarkable. I think the combination of the Vision Pro + AirPods Max can already replace a $10,000 home theater system. The only caveat is that it’s single player.

What are your thoughts on the Vision Pro?
